For the past few decades, a doctrine has arisen which states that in order for a person to be saved, certain works must be present in their lives. At best, this doctrine is a “throwback” to the “Gospel of the Kingdom” which was preached to Israel at the time of Christ. At its worst, the “Lordship” doctrine is a reversion to salvation by works.
In this book, Joel W. Finck clearly distinguishes between “the gospel of the kingdom” for Israel and “the gospel of the grace of God” which is designed for this dispensation of grace. A must read!
