Heaven, Hell, and In Between

Someone has written song lyrics, “Everybody wants to go to heaven, but nobody wants to go right now!” We might add, “And nobody wants to go to hell!” Even unbelievers often speak of a wish to go to heaven some day. The subject of hell seldom comes up in the secular world as a topic of conversation, but is very commonly used as a curse word. Even much of the preaching these days seems to avoid this unpleasant subject. Some so-called “preachers” deny the existence of this awful place. We sometimes wonder if they even believe in heaven!
